The Lasater-Schirmer Family Foundation is proud to support The Pad Project, an organization working to ensure that a period never stands in the way of a girl’s education, health, dignity, or opportunity.
The Pad Project expands access to menstrual products, combats period stigma, and advances menstrual equity through product distribution, education, and locally rooted programs. By addressing both the practical barriers of period poverty and the social stigma surrounding menstruation, its work helps girls and women participate more fully in school, work, and their communities.

The Lasater-Schirmer Family Foundation is proud to support Organization for Prostitution Survivors (OPS), a survivor-centered organization dedicated to helping people affected by prostitution, trafficking, and commercial sexual exploitation rebuild their lives with dignity, safety, and hope.
OPS provides survivor-led recovery services, advocacy, and community support designed to address the complex challenges survivors face as they move toward healing and independence. By centering the voices and lived experiences of survivors, the organization creates pathways to greater stability, empowerment, and long-term well-being.

Akashinga — Women Protecting Wildlife and Wild Places
The Lasater-Schirmer Family Foundation is proud to support Akashinga, an innovative conservation organization that puts women at the forefront of protecting Africa’s wildlife and wilderness.
Through its women-led conservation model, Akashinga trains and employs women from local communities as wildlife rangers, creating meaningful economic opportunity while strengthening conservation efforts and protecting vulnerable ecosystems. Its approach demonstrates that investing in women can have a powerful ripple effect—supporting families, strengthening communities, and safeguarding wildlife and wild places for future generations.
